The construction workers started to get back to their work as they had a lot of work and a tight deadline to follow, so they decided to ignore the anaconda.
Anacondas are not venomous snakes, they generally do not feed on humans, but there are several pieces of evidence available which prove that they can attack humans. There are plenty of stories available where anacondas killed adult humans by coiling their bodies tightly around humans, which resulted in human deaths. There are many other myths in South America regarding anacondas as man-eaters. To know whether anacondas attack humans or not, a scientist, Paul Rosolie, carried out an experiment on a snake by provoking it to attack him. Fortunately, he was wearing a special costume because of which he got saved.
