Kevin Costner is an Academy Award-winning American actor who starred in some of the most critically-acclaimed films of the 80s and early 90s, including, Field of Dreams, Dances with Wolves, and JFK. He has been able to add several awards into his kitty, namely a Primetime Emmy Award, two Golden Globe Awards, two Academy Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.
It proves that Kevin Costner was easily regarded as one of Hollywood’s most prolific stars. It isn’t so much that Costner has suddenly become a bad actor, however, what we can conclude now, is there is nothing compelling about his performances anymore.
Maybe that is one of the reasons that he has faded into obscurity making critics wonder is he just fit to play the cookie-cutter father-figure roles? ala the one he played in Man of Steel?
