The Emperor’s New Groove is one of David Spade’s movies that earns a high rating on Rotten Tomatoes, most people agree on one thing the star is a terrific voice actor. The film went on to score a rating of 85% on the platform, but many critics believed that Spade’s performance did not add value to the animation.
The actor thinks that comedy is certainly his forte. But most of his movies are rated rotten and that’s maybe because most of his jokes do not land.
He has appeared as part of several ensemble casts, such as Just Shoot Me! and Rules of Engagement. Just Shoot Me! also earned him a Primetime Emmy Award and two Golden Globe nominations. He also played C. J. Barnes in the popular sitcom 8 Simple Rules! So not all of his acting outings deserve flak!
